Council Meetings

Council meetings are conducted on the third Tuesday of every month commencing at 6:00pm. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers and are open to the public, with the exception of when an item is dealt with in closed meeting. The Council meeting agenda is available on Council’s website on the Thursday preceding the meeting.

Council meetings are live streamed and recordings are available on Council’s YouTube channel.

Sorell Planning Authority (SPA) Meetings

Sorell Planning Authority meetings are held on Tuesdays at 4:30pm at the Sorell Council Offices when required. Meetings are advertised in The Mercury on the Wednesday prior to the meeting.

The purpose of SPA meetings is for Council, acting as the Planning Authority, to determine planning applications for which delegation has not been provided. Meetings are open to the public and the agenda is available on Council’s website on the Thursday preceding the meeting.
