Tenders and Expressions of Interest
The Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 outline how Councils need to manage their procurement activities to ensure fairness and transparency. They also ensure there is adequate opportunity for suppliers to bid, be awarded and engage with Councils in Tasmania.
Current tenders and expressions of interest are advertised below:
Sorell Smart Solar Upgrade - C-26-B-006
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Clean Energy Council (CEC) and Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accredited Contractors for the installation of two separate solar PV systems tailored to the operational needs and energy profiles for the South East Sports Complex and the Council Administration Centre (CAC).

Tenders must be clearly marked “Confidential – Tender C-26-B-006” and must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Office, 47 Cole Street, Sorell, or received by mail prior to the closing date.
Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Thursday 25 June 2026.
Neither the lowest nor any tender will necessarily be accepted. Late tender responses will not be considered.
Sorell East Growth Area Master Plan - SEGA-001
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified consultants, or multidisciplinary teams, to provide a comprehensive Growth Area Master Plan, Infrastructure Funding Framework and Rezoning for the Sorell East Growth Area.
