Tenders and Expressions of Interest
The Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 outline how Councils need to manage their procurement activities to ensure fairness and transparency. They also ensure there is adequate opportunity for suppliers to bid, be awarded and engage with Councils in Tasmania.
Current tenders and expressions of interest are advertised below:
2026-27 Unsealed Roads Re-Sheeting Program C-27-T-008
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors to supply and add 100mm compacted base gravel re-sheet for 8 sites within the Sorell Municipality.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Confidential – Tender C-27-T-008 – 2026-27 Re-Sheet Program” and must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Office, 47 Cole Street, Sorell, or received by mail prior to the closing date.
Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Wednesday 9 September 2026.

Neither the lowest nor any tender will necessarily be accepted. Late tender responses will not be considered.
Request for Tender – 2026-27 Road Re-Sheet & Re-Seal Program
2026-27 Sealed Roads Re-Sealing Program C-27-T-009
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors to supply and spray seal, asphalt works, including reinstatement of line marking for 7 sites within the Sorell Municipality.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Confidential – Tender C-27-T-009 – 2026-27 Re-Seal Program” and must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Office, 47 Cole Street, Sorell, or received by mail prior to the closing date.
Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Wednesday 16 September 2026.
