Tenders and Expressions of Interest
The Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 outline how Councils need to manage their procurement activities to ensure fairness and transparency. They also ensure there is adequate opportunity for suppliers to bid, be awarded and engage with Councils in Tasmania.
Current tenders and expressions of interest are advertised below:
Sorell Park and Ride Bus Shelters - C-25-T-017
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors for the fabrication and installation of three bus shelters at the Sorell Park & Ride in Station Lane.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Tender C-25-T-017 Sorell Park and Ride Bus Shelters” and must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Offices, 47 Cole Street, Sorell or received by mail prior to the closing date.
Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Thursday 29 October 2026.

Edith Close, Forcett - Reconstruction - C-27-T-005
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the re-construction of approximately 200m of road. The works include, (but are not limited to) excavation, stormwater drainage works, supply, placement and compaction of base material, two coat seal and placing & compacting asphalt to the cul-de-sac.
A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting is scheduled for 12:00pm on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Tender C-27-T-005 Edith Close” and must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Offices, 47 Cole Street, Sorell or received by mail prior to the closing date.
Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
