Sorell Active Transport & Social Strategy
Sorell Council is preparing an Active Transport Strategy and a Social Strategy to guide advocacy and support funding opportunities for future investment for the municipality.
The Active Transport Strategy will help Council understand how best to prioritise and improve infrastructure such as paths and cycleways to increase safety and accessibility.
The Social Strategy will help Council understand what social services and infrastructure will support community health and wellbeing and enable the community to thrive.
The Social and Active Transport Strategies offer an exciting opportunity for the community to get involved in reimagining the future of the municipality.
Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback via the Survey and/or through Workshops during February and March 2024.
The next stage is the release of the Draft Sorell Active Transport and Social Strategy for public consultation from 3 June and 23 June 2024. More information will be available at https://www.sorell.tas.gov.au/have-your-say/ closer at to the date!
