Infrastructure Protection Bonds – Refund Request

Council charges an Infrastructure Protection Bond and associated Bond Establishment Fee upon lodgement of a Building Application. This is taken to ensure protection of our roads, footpaths and other Council infrastructure during construction works. The bond may be used to repair any damage caused to Council’s infrastructure during the building works. Upon completion of the Works and obtaining a Certificate of Completion (Building Works) from Council, you are entitled to redeem the Infrastructure Bond by completing this form and returning to Sorell Council’s Permit Authority Officer.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Infrastructure Protection Bond will only be refunded if Council’s infrastructure adjacent to the site is in the same state of repair as before construction commenced. The amount will only be refunded to the person responsible for payment upon lodgement.
