Development Assessment Special Committee (DASC)

The purpose of DASC meetings is for Council, as the planning authority, to determine planning applications to which delegation has not been provided. A DASC meeting may be required if the application is for a large proposal or has received a number of representations.

Development Assessment Special Committee (DASC) meetings are held on Tuesdays at 4.30pm at the Sorell Council Offices. DASC meetings are scheduled as required and are advertised in The Mercury on the Wednesday prior to the meeting being held.

These meetings are open to the public and the agenda is available on Council’s website on the Thursday preceding the meeting. Please note that public question time is not allocated during DASC meetings and there is no opportunity to discuss issues or concerns.
