Youth Development Officer
Council is seeking a Youth Development Officer to lead the delivery of programs and initiatives that support young people aged 12–17 in the Sorell community. This role will be central to implementing Council’s Youth Plan by engaging young people in shaping services, fostering participation and inclusion and ensuring they have access to the information and support they need.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As Youth Development Officer, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing Council’s Youth Plan to life. From running programs like the Youth Advisory Squad, school holiday activities, drop-in sessions and Youth Week events, to engaging directly with young people to shape services and creating opportunities for youth to connect. You’ll also provide information and referral support, build strong networks with local stakeholders and champion the voice of young people within the community and Council.
