ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

As our Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering meaningful, contemporary engagement that builds trust, amplifies community voice and supports key Council projects and initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
– Delivering Council’s Communication & Engagement Strategy.
– Building strong relationships with community groups, committees and stakeholders.
– Coordinating community engagement activities, workshops and consultations.
– Leading engagement for key projects, including the Sorell Community Cultural Precinct.
– Supporting Council teams in developing engagement plans.
– Coordinating Citizenship Ceremonies and assist with major Council events.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
– Experience planning and delivering community engagement initiatives.
– Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
– Ability to run events, consultations and workshops.
– Experience using digital engagement tools and social media.
– Collaborative, proactive and community focused.
– Current driver’s licence (essential).

$85 991.71 - $92 985.15 (pro-rata) 12% super for the first 6 months and 15.5% upon completion of probation
