YOUTH WORKER

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in your community? Sorell Council is seeking an enthusiastic and approachable Youth Worker to join our Community Relations team. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to work directly with young people aged 12–17, delivering engaging programs, activities and events that foster inclusion, wellbeing and participation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…
– Delivering engaging youth programs, events and activities for young people aged 12–17.
– Building positive relationships with young people, families, schools and community organisations.
– Encouraging participation, inclusion and wellbeing.
– Providing support, information and referrals where needed.
– Helping create safe and welcoming environments for all young people.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about helping them reach their potential. You’ll also bring:
– A current Driver’s Licence, First Aid Certificate, Working with Vulnerable People registration and Police Check.
– Qualifications or experience in Youth Work, Community Services or a related field.
– Experience working with and engaging young people.
– Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
– Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.

Level 5 ($80,906.05 - $87,691.87) pro-rata
