Seniors Week 2023
Sorell Council invites seniors in our community to our annual celebration of seniors for 2023.
Seniors Week is an annual event that provides an opportunity for communities to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of older people to the community. Seniors Week is also a celebration of seniors’ active participation in community life and allows us to encourage older people to be active, participate in local events and socialise with their peers.

Tuesday 17 October and Thursday 19 October 2023
- Bus trip to Port Arthur Lavender Farm for Devonshire Tea
- Bus departs the Sorell Memorial Hall at 10am and returns by 2.30pm
- Trip includes Devonshire Tea, a stroll along the lavender trail and a visit to the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry at Tarana
- Tickets are $5 per person
- Prize for the best dressed in lavender!
- Limited spots available per trip. Purchasing your ticket secures your seat
