 Cat Management in Tasmania

Sorell Council has made a submission Cat Management in Tasmania - Discussion paper. Council is concerned that the legislation will impact on Council resources and believes that funding should be provided by the State and Federal Government. Improved cat management is required to protect wildlife and the appropriate state government agency and cat centres should be appropriately funded to undertake these duties.  Removal of overhead power lines

Existing power lines along Gordon Street will be soon replaced with underground lines as part of a streetscape beautification project.

Due to the complexity of the project there will be some impacts on local businesses during construction such as, power disruptions, pedestrian footpath access restrictions, vehicle parking restrictions and temporary lane closures.
