Tenders and Expressions of Interest
The Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government (General) Regulations 2015 outline how Councils need to manage their procurement activities to ensure fairness and transparency. They also ensure there is adequate opportunity for suppliers to bid, be awarded and engage with Councils in Tasmania.
Current tenders and expressions of interest are advertised below:
Request for Tender C-24-S-009 Seventh Avenue Stormwater Upgrade, Dodges Ferry
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified construction companies for the installation of approximately 375 metres of stormwater pipe in Seventh Avenue, Dodges Ferry. The works associated with the stormwater upgrade include (but are not limited to) Supply and installation of RCP, supply and installation of HDPE, supply and installation of a GPT, supply and installation of KCM, milling the existing road seal, supply installation and compaction of base course material, and supply and placing road seal.
A pre-Tender meeting is scheduled for 10:30am on Wednesday, 24th of April 2024. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Tender for C-24-S-009 Seventh Avenue Stormwater Upgrade, Dodges Ferry” and may be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Offices, 47 Cole Street, Sorell or received by mail prior to the closing date. Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00pm on Wednesday, 8th of May 2024. Neither the lowest nor any Tender will necessarily be accepted. Late Tender responses will not be considered.

Request for Tender Footpath Renewals Midway Point C-24-T-032, C-24-T-033 and C-24-T-036
Tenders are invited from suitably qualified construction companies for the reconstruction of approximately 1,090 metres of footpath in Brady Street, Midway Street, and Suncrest Street, Midway Point. The works associated with the footpath renewal include (but are not limited to) excavation, supply, placement and compaction of base material, associated stormwater drainage works, and pouring & finishing of concrete. A pre-tender meeting is scheduled for 10:30 am on Thursday 4th April 2024. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory.
Tenders must be clearly marked “Tender for C-24-T-032 Brady Street, C-24-T-033 Midway Street, C-24-T-036 Suncrest Street” and may be deposited in the Tender Box at the Sorell Council Offices, 47 Cole Street, Sorell, or received by mail prior to the closing date. Tenders will be accepted up until 2:00 pm on Wednesday 17th April 2024. Neither the lowest nor any Tender will necessarily be accepted. Late Tender responses will not be considered.
