Orielton Lagoon Loop – Shared Pathway

Work on stage 2 of the Orielton Lagoon Loop shared pathway is currently underway.

The green lines for stage 2 works on the attached map show the track continuing along Shark Point Road through Miena Park to Montagu Street, and also underway from the Midway Point end of the Causeway to the end of Bay Road.

Stage 2 works in Midway Point are complete and works from Montagu Street to Shark Point Road through Miena Park currently underway (as at April 2018).

The pathway encourages active lifestyles for all ages and skill levels providing opportunities to walk, jog or cycle along the pathway.

This is a staged project and stage 3 works are dependent upon Council receiving and/or allocating future funding.

Council received a $50,000 contribution for construction of stage 1 works from The Tasmania Community Fund. This funding was matched by Council.

Council received a $100,000 contribution for construction of stage 2 works from The Tasmanian Government’s Community Infrastructure Fund. This funding was also matched by Council.
